Shine 28 Jan - 4 Feb

Please note that every Friday between 12.30 and 1.30 a Police Officer is in the church hall ready to discuss any problems you may have within our local area, and also to give advice. Focus Circuit Magazine - The copy deadline has been extended to 4 February 2007. If you have anything which you wish to go in the magazine, please get them to Ruth by then. Many thanks. Church Council Meeting - 7.30 pm Tuesday 13 Feb. Circuit United Service - 25 Feb at Thackley 6.30 pm - To mark the start of Fairtrade Fortnight, there will be a "Circuit Tea & Quiz" starting at 4 pm organised by Fairtrade; there will be tea/coffe and snack, but people are welcome to bring a packed tea if they wish. This will then be followed by the Circuit United Service. Fairtrade fortnight - 26 Feb to 11 March - There will be several events taking place throughout the circuit during the fortnight - more details later. Monday 29 January 2007 - Let's take time to pray for ourselves - remembering Jesus has no hands but ours to do His work. Tuesday 30 January 2007 - Please ask a blessing on the Tuesday Fellowship as they meet this morning, and thank God for Jackie who is so faithful a leader. Wednesday 31 January 2007 - As the Rainbows and Brownies meet, let us thank God for their leaders, and ask Your blessing on all the families represented. Thursday 1 February 2007 - Please hold before God Jean and family, as her brother, Alan, died last week. May they all know the comfort of Your loving arms around them at this sad time. Friday 2 February 2007 - As part of our new initiative, we are asked to pray this month for the residents of Cragg Hill Road. Prayer diary w/c 22 January 2007

Monday 22nd - As our Boys Brigard meet, thank God for the commitment of the leaders and ask a blessing on the boys. Tuesday 23rd - Frank, Gill's grandpa, is still trying to come to terms with his diagnosis of cancer. Please pray for Gill and her family and also give thanks for the McMillan nurses who are helping Frank. Wednesday 24th - Please pray for the residents of Park Avenue. Ask God to bless our new initiative - may our local residents know Thackley Church is a very real presence in their neighbourhood. Thursday 25th - Please pray for the residents of Park Mead. May they find comfort and support in our prayers. Friday 26th - Lynne asks us to pray for the health and safety of Angela and Reanne, that they may soon have more stability in their lives. Saturday 27th - Please remember Richard in your prayers as he prepares the service for tomorrow morning. Sunday 28th - Thank God for the faithfulness of our organists, Ruth and Gill. Apologies for the delay in posting this. Monday 15th - As the Playgroup meet this morning, may all the children and families represented there be blessed. Tuesday 16th - As our local preachers meet, please give thanks for all their faithfulness and commitment to spreading Your word amongst us. Wednesday 17th - Rachel, Chris's niece, is still making a good recovery. Please thank God for all He has done for this family and hold them in your prayers and thoughts. Thursday 18th - Please remember in your prayers all who meet at Space for God today. Friday 19th - Pat Sinclair's mother-in-law is still very ill. Please ask God to be merciful to her and pray for her family. Saturday 20th - Please pray for the success of "Generation Gospel" here at Thackley today - a special all age circuit event. May everyone experience fun, love and friendship. Sunday 21st - Please ask God to be close to Alan Barker as he leads us in worship today.

Prayer diary w/c 8 January 2007

Monday 8th - We are asked to remember in our prayers all the students at Bradford University who will be starting a fortnight of exams today. Tuesday 9th - Pam, Jean D's sister, has just been diagnosed as having cancer. Please pray for her and her family as she comences chemotherapy sessions. May Pam and Jean find comfort in our prayers and thoughts. Wednesday 10th - As the Wednesday Ladies Group and the Wives Group recommence their meetings today, please ask a blessing on their fellowship. Thursday 11th - Please pray for Margaret and Keith's son, David. He is now in a special nursing home. Ask God to bless all who work to help David and may Margaret and Keith also feel loved and supported by our concern and prayers. Friday 12th - As "Sorted" youth club meet on our premises, let us give thanks for the leaders and helpers, and ask a blessing on the young people.
